A Second Judge Awards Interim Fees in Divorce Action

Michael P. Vessa, Esq. obtains one of the largest pendente lite awards for legal and experts fees in Nassau County history. "A Second Judge Awards Interim Fees in Divorce Action" was published in the New York Law Journal.

In a case of first impression in Nassau County involving corporate assets placed in foreign trusts by a husband who claimed were beyond his reach and were, nevertheless, non-marital, the combined efforts of Michael Vessa, Kenneth Wilensky and Philip Vessa resulted in a non-taxable, lump sum settlement of $10,000,000.00 for the wife.

Vessa, Esq. obtains large pendente lite award for client, a former senior associate at a NYC law firm who suffered a debilitating stroke after the divorce action began, despite claims by his spouse that he was capable of earning substantial amounts in a related field. This award ultimately led to a global settlement of the action which was in its third day of trial.
